Marking Devices - Overview
The Orthman Marking Device was introduced in 1982. The current version we know as a TMD1200 was introduced in 1983. The marking device is available to mount to several different planters. Because it is meant to make a mark behind the planter which the cultivator guidance system can follow, it is designed to mount in the center of a planter, around the planter transmission. Down pressure springs can be adjusted to keep the twin 20” discs in the ground while a steel compaction wheel firms the newly made mark. In 1989 the marking device was changed to double bearing disc hubs. The Tracker MP3 Operator’s Manual is the best source for application information on this device. The following list of parts are intended as a guide. We feel that it would be prudent to carry the following items in stock at each dealership during the use season of this product. The quantities listed are for every 10 units which have been sold in the dealership trade area. As with any Orthman products warning decals are available from us at no charge for this product.
